Stacy Barr

Director, Development

Stacy joined Turnaround in 2017 as the Director of Development. In this role, she is responsible for designing and executing Turnaround’s strategy to maintain and increase financial support from institutional funding partners, including foundations, corporations and public agencies.

Before joining Turnaround, Stacy served as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Summer Search, a national youth development organization dedicated to creating greater equity by increasing the number of students from low-income backgrounds who successfully enter and complete college. Under her leadership, Stacy increased network-wide institutional funding by nearly 30 percent. Previously, at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Stacy served as the Manager of Foundation and Corporate Philanthropy, where she managed a portfolio of nearly $6 million. Stacy started her career in marketing at Random House.

Stacy holds an M.P.A. from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in public relations from the University of Florida.

What motivates you?

The opportunity to close the achievement gap and level the playing field through education. I am deeply committed to supporting all students to have access to a quality education so they can achieve their full potential.
