Who do you admire most in your life?
My late grandmother, Virginia Owen. Her first instinct was kindness and her generosity of spirit and deep care for every person she encountered extended beyond her dedicated work as a social worker into every moment of her life.
What book has influenced you most?
Fortress of Solitude by Jonathan Lethem, whose lyric and vibrant portrait of New York’s endless capacity to humble and inspire – in all its darkness and wonder – impacts me to this day.
